How do I prevent brick pavers from icing over?

We recently had new brick pavers installed on our porch and a thin sheet of ice develops in the morning. This occurs even when no water was present. How do I prevent the ice from forming? do the bricks need to be treated with anything?

Spread a thin layer of sand and leave it on there. This will not only help with the slipperiness but also help dry them out. I would use salt because it will turn the pavers white. When you said on you porch are they glued onto concrete or are on base and sand?
