Can I put pavers over a concrete walk as well as over gravel?

The entrance walk to my house leads directly to the stoop and then curves to the left. It ends at a gravel filled area where I pull in my car. I would like to put attractive pavers to cover the entire area. Can I do that myself with pavers that could be installed directly on the concrete as well as the gravel area without removing concrete or gravel?

I think the pavers would not stay stable on the gravel or the concrete if you park or drive over them. If you put them on the existing concrete drive, they would crack and break when you drove over them. Concrete is so brittle.

Hi I have done this before You will have to put a layer of good compactable sand over the top min 1″ If you have the clearance use more 2 – 3″ for better results Pavers need this layer to bed onto Otherwise they will no be stable and crack Good luck
